Nursing Assistant Training Program
Valley Health Services is approved to provide an on-site Nursing Assistant Training program. The program is a 5 week training course instructed by a Registered Nurse to prepare students for the Certified Nurse Aide licensing exam. The program is offered 3 times a year with up to 8 students in each program. If interested, an application is available at the back of the booklet or at the nursing office located in the lobby on the first floor.

Director of Clinical Services: This management position requires a NYS RN License with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience, of which one (1) year is with the elderly population and at least one (1) year is with home care experience. The primary duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Administrator with case management responsibilities for screening and assessing potential new residents; educational training support, supervisory experience to oversee nursing staff; completion of nursing staff evaluations, nursing staff scheduling; and assisting in hiring and disciplinary actions for nursing staff; candidates will also be the instructor for HHA Training Program. Candidates must possess intermediate computer skills; excellent organizational skills and a working knowledge of the budget process.
This management position requires an Associate Degree in Food Service Management and one (1) year experience in a restaurant or institutional cooking, and supervisory experience in a health care setting is preferred. The primary duties include, but are not limited to, meal preparation, overseeing and supervision of the Dietary Department, which includes directing overall operations of our dining services department and leading a team of employees, and ensuring quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Excellent customer service, leadership, organizational and time management skills required.

Director of Rehabilitation Services:
A high quality, progressive health care provider is seeking a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist with strong team building and leadership skills to serve as Director of Rehabilitation Services. The position manages a multi-faceted inpatient, sub-acute, long term care and outpatient rehabilitation program. This senior leadership position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Rehabilitation Dept. including planning, directing, and organizing the department to ensure quality person centered care. Qualified candidates must possess a NYS licensure, a minimum of 5 years clinical experience with 2 years in a management level position; experience with skilled rehab program is preferred.
