Nursing Assistant Training Program
Valley Health Services is approved to provide an on-site Nursing Assistant Training program. The program is a 5 week training course instructed by a Registered Nurse to prepare students for the Certified Nurse Aide licensing exam. The program is offered 3 times a year with up to 8 students in each program. If interested, an application is available at the back of the booklet or at the nursing office located in the lobby on the first floor.

Assistant Director of Social Services:
Skilled Social Worker to join our care team to serve as the Assistant Director of Social Services. The position will identify and provide for residents emotional and psycho/social needs and work towards the development of each resident’s full potential. In addition to supporting the Director in managing the dept, daily responsibilities include admission/discharge planning, assessments, care planning, MDS completion and regular interactions with residents and families. Candidates must have a BA/BS in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field with strong nursing home experience and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Qualified candidates will be compassionate and self-driven with two years of long term care experience preferred.
Full time position, primary duties include assisting in the implementation and planning of group and individual activities. Position requires energetic, creative individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate must possess a current NYS Nurse Aide Certification; previous experience in Activities or related field preferred. Must possess a current, valid, violation-free NYS driver license and be at least 25 years old.
Evening Food Service Supervisor:
Full time position. Responsibilities include assisting the FSM with the operations of our dining services, supervising employees, overseeing department sanitation and cooking meals as needed. Candidate must possess leadership, organizational and time management skills. Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting and an Associate’s Degree in Food Service Management or related field preferred.
